The Children’s Music Studio is written primarily for early childhood and elementary music teachers and is not confined to a fixed methodology. Any methods, such as Orff, Kodály, Gordon’s Music Learning Theory, or Dalcroze, will work well within the music studio approach. Non-musician educators and parents involved with Reggio-inspired schools will also find this book a useful guide to developing an appreciation for the “language” of music and can use it to discover cross- domain connections between music and visual arts, dance, drama, poetry, photography, and non- arts subjects.
